About Your Artist Instructor

Painting, art, and design have been a cornerstone and guiding force in Adrienne Pratts life. Her creative journey encompasses original illustration, custom art, and printmaking, with a focus on pet portraits that celebrate the unique personalities of our furry friends. She primarily works with heavy-bodied acrylic paints, which provide the rich texture and vibrancy she loves.

In 2023, alongside her husband Tim, they excitedly opened their brick-and-mortar shop, The Ship Shape Shop, in Stonington, CT. This space is not only Adrienne’s work studio, but also offers artists, artisans, and items they are excited about and stand behind., and Fine Art Appraisal Services. Adrienne’s inspirations are diverse and deeply personal, drawn from the soothing presence of water and the fascinating sea life of the ocean. Additionally, her five beloved cats—affectionately dubbed the "20 Paw Army"—bring whimsy and joy to her work. She also finds inspiration in the charm of wooden lobster boats, infusing her art with a sense of nostalgia and playful snark. Together, these elements come alive in her creations, reflecting a unique perspective and passion for the world around her.
