Your Artist Instructor:
Lyndsay Meiklem Dean has been creating functional pottery for nearly 3 decades. She opened Meiklem Kiln Works Clay Studio in 2002 where her passion for the medium was passed onto others through wheel thrown pottery and hand building clay classes. The community studio provided a venue for a variety of art classes and hosted many professional visiting artist instructors over the course of seventeen years. In 2018 Lyndsay pivoted her career to dedicate more time to her personal growth in clay and opened Glaze Handmade, which currently houses her studio and retail shop in Stonington, CT. A few times a month Lyndsay hosts clay and art workshops so she can continue to share her passion for clay with the community, in addition to her own studio workshops, Lyndsay also teaches wheel thrown pottery at the COMO in Stonington.
